Just thought I'd share a summary of what I shared at church yesterday...

Who is Jesus?

Jesus did many amazing things, as per the following...
Commanded a storm to stop and big waves to be still and they obeyed him. (Mark 4:35-41)
Raised a girl from the dead. (Mark 5:35-43)
Was able to forgive sin (Mark 2:5)
Healed people of various diseases, and caused a paralysed man to walk again. (Mark 1: 29-34, Mark 1:40-42, Mark 2:1-12)
He was able to multiply food, so that 5 small loaves of bread and 2 fish fed 5000 men plus women and children, leaving more left overs than what he started with.
He walked on top of water (Mark 6:45-46)
He predicted how he would die (Matt 20:17) as did prophets thousands of years before him.
He was crucified, died, buried and raised to life again (Matt 27,28)
After his resurrection his disciples worshipped him (Matt 28:17)
History tells us his disciples were willing to die for him, ...and they did.

So Who is Jesus?
Here are some of the names given to him...
Jesus (which means 'The Lord Saves')
Immanuel (which means 'God with us')
Bread of Life, Son of God, Son of Man, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Lamb of God, The beginning and the end, The Word of God

So who is Jesus?
Scripture declares Jesus is God in the flesh. God loves us so much, knowing we cannot save ourselves, he came in the flesh, took the punishment we deserve so our sins are atoned for, to meet Gods justice.

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for Gods wrath remains on him." (John 3:36)

So who do you believe he is? Not what you think he might be, or hope he might be, but in your heart, who do you really believe he is?
